Website Checker (iswebsiteexists.com) is a free, no-sign-up tool that lets you check if any website or domain is online, see DNS status, HTTP response codes, response times, SSL information, and basic page metadata. We built it for people who need a quick, reliable way to verify site availability without installing software or creating an account.

Who it's for

The tool is useful for website owners checking their own sites, developers debugging connectivity or DNS issues, support staff verifying that a customer's site is reachable, and anyone who needs to confirm whether a domain is registered and responding. If you've ever wondered "is this site down or is it just me?", our checker gives you an objective result from our server so you can see status, timing, and error details in one place.

Why we built it

We wanted a simple, fast way to check website and domain status on demand. Many solutions require sign-up, are tied to uptime monitoring subscriptions, or don't show the level of detail we wanted (DNS, HTTP code, response time, redirects, SSL). This site does one thing: you enter a URL, we run the check, and we show you the results. No dashboard, no account, no paywall.

How it works

When you submit a URL, our server validates it, resolves the domain via DNS, and then performs an HTTP(S) request to the target. We report whether the site is online, offline, or "online but limited" (e.g. when bot protection blocks full access), along with the HTTP status code, response time, and other details.
